When reporting a problem, it helps to include your device type, whether you are on iPhone or Android, and what you were doing when it happened. Please do not include your password in an email - we will never ask for it.
You and your partner each answer the same prompts privately, on your own devices. An answer is only revealed when you have both independently said yes to the same thing. If only one of you is interested, neither of you finds out. Nothing is ever shown one-sidedly.
You can answer prompts on your own right away, but results only appear once you are linked with a partner and you have both answered the same item. Until then your Matches screen will be empty.
Invites expire 24 hours after they are created. If an invite has expired, just generate a new one.
The most common reasons are that the invite is more than 24 hours old, that it has already been used, or that one of you is already linked to someone else. YesList supports one partner at a time. Generate a fresh invite and try again.
No. Your partner only ever sees a match - an item you both said yes to. Your individual answers, including anything you said no to, are never shown to them.
Yes. Open the item again in the Survey tab and record a new answer. Your matches update to reflect the change.
Matches are calculated only from items you have both answered. Early on, when one of you has answered more than the other, the percentage moves around a lot. It settles as you both work through more prompts.
A result appears only once you have both answered that specific item, and only if your answers align. If you have answered something and see nothing, your partner has most likely not reached that item yet.
Tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen and enter your email address. We will send you a reset link. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder.
Check your spam folder first. You can request a new verification email from the verification screen in the app. If it still does not arrive, email us and we will help.
Go to the Partner tab and choose to unlink. You will be asked to confirm. Unlinking affects both of you - your shared results are no longer visible to either person. You each keep your own answers, so you can link again later, or link with someone else, without starting over.
Go to Profile > Delete Account in the app. Full instructions, including what gets deleted and how to request deletion by email if you cannot access the app, are on our account deletion page.
Your answers are stored against your account and are never exposed to your partner except as a mutual match. YesList is not a dating service - there is no discovery, no matching with strangers, and no messaging between users. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
